Some Geeky comics

Well, the Red Hat Summit & JBoss World ended today. It was an extremely busy week and very busy couple of weeks leading up to it for me. I absolutely love going to and getting involved with this event though. You get to meet brilliant people from all over in one place, learn about the latest free & open source technology and see cool demos and take tutorials, and of course the parties are great…. 🙂

One thing that is really neat about the Red Hat Summit & JBoss World is that every morning there is a newspaper called the Red Hat Free Press that’s given out. It provides the day’s schedule, free/open source software related articles, and some other fun geeky content. This year I was very excited to be involved in creating some comics (using Fedora & Inkscape, of course 🙂 ), one for each day of the Summit. Here they are, and I’m providing them under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 3.0 license (please attribute Red Hat.)

The SVG source for these is available.

The most challenging part of creating these was coming up with funny jokes. I’d like to thank my co-workers who helped me out in coming up with some punchlines for me to draw. I have to say the pxe boot pixie is my favorite!

  3. The third one makes more sense if you’ve seen the original.
